For adrenaline junkies and thrill-seekers, Skydive Santa Fe on Bantayan Island offers an unmatched experience: free-falling over a tropical paradise with panoramic views of aquamarine waters, white-sand beaches, and lush coconut groves. As the only skydiving center in Central Visayas and one of the most scenic drop zones in Southeast Asia, Skydive Santa Fe gives you the rare opportunity to combine high-altitude adventure with breathtaking island scenery. It’s not just an activity—it’s a life-changing moment suspended between sky and sea.

        Location and Access

Skydive Santa Fe is located near the Santa Fe Airport in the southeastern part of Bantayan Island, Cebu Province. Coordinates: 11.157638 N, 123.787915 E.

        Getting there:

        1. From Cebu City, take a bus or van from the North Bus Terminal to Hagnaya Port (approx. 3.5–4 hours).
        2. Board a ferry from Hagnaya to Santa Fe Port on Bantayan Island (about 1–1.5 hours).
        3. From the port, it’s just a 5-minute tricycle ride to the drop zone near the airstrip.

Travel tip: Book your skydive in advance, especially during peak tourist seasons like Holy Week and summer holidays (March–May), to secure your preferred slot.

        Activity Details

The Skydive Santa Fe experience begins with a short briefing at the airfield, followed by gear fitting and a scenic plane ride up to 10,000–13,000 feet. The tandem jump includes:

        • A 30- to 45-second freefall at speeds of up to 200 km/h.
        • A 5- to 7-minute parachute glide with views of Bantayan’s coastline and nearby islands.
        • Landing back at the jump site or a designated beachside strip.

Tandem instructors ensure a smooth, safe jump for first-timers. Licensed solo jumpers can inquire about non-tandem experiences. Optional packages include HD video and photos captured mid-air.

        Skill and Gear Requirements

No prior experience is required for tandem jumps. All necessary safety gear is provided:

        • Jumpsuit
        • Goggles
        • Harness
        • Parachute (main and reserve)

Minimum age: 18 years. Weight limit: usually 90–100 kg max. Wear comfortable athletic clothes and closed shoes. A medical waiver must be signed before the jump.

        Best Time to Visit

The best time for skydiving is during the dry season (December to May) with clear skies and calm winds. Early morning jumps (8 AM – 11 AM) provide the best light and conditions.

Avoid the monsoon season (June to October) as weather may cause delays or cancellations.

        Safety and Guidelines

Skydive Santa Fe follows international skydiving safety standards. Gear is inspected regularly and parachutes are packed by certified riggers. Key safety rules include:

        • No alcohol or drugs 24 hours before your jump.
        • Listen carefully to the instructor’s briefing.
        • Only use cameras if approved and mounted by staff.

Eat a light meal beforehand and stay well-hydrated.

        Duration and Difficulty
        • Total experience time: 2 to 3 hours (briefing, flight, jump, and landing)
        • Physical demand: Low for tandem jumps. You’ll just need to follow instructions and maintain body position during freefall.

        • Beachfront accommodations (budget to upscale)
        • Restaurants, cafés, and bars
